About the role:
Location:Hatfield (AL10)
Salary: £45,709
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (42 hours per week)
Contract Type: Permanent
What you’ll be doing:
We handle thousands of parcels every day and that wouldn’t be possible if we didn’t have our team of amazing Engineers making sure everything was always working as it should!
We’re excited to share that we’re currently recruiting for an Engineer to join our Engineering team at our Hatfield Distribution Centre. You’ll be key in providing essential engineering services in order to maintain and support the Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) and associated machinery/equipment on site, to maximise operational efficiency and ensure continuous availability for production.
What we need from you:
You’ll have an engineering maintenance background and have a minimum HNC and/or City and Guilds or equivalent within Engineering discipline to level 3. You will be a team player, have a good understanding of Health and Safety Regulations and an analytical approach to problem solving.
It goes without saying you’ll have a real interest in an engineering career but also the relevant skills, experience and knowledge including:
- Fully experienced in both mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.
- Knowledge of PLC based control systems. (Modicon and Siemens)
- Physically fit and able to work up to heights of 20 metres.
- Knowledge of safe working practices IOSH..
- BS:7671 (2382) Rev 2015 17th Edition wiring regulations is a must have certificate.
- Experience and working knowledge in performing industrial/commercial electrical installations.
- Must be able to use drilling/grinding equipment safely and effectively.
- Must be able to weld steel plating etc, with gasless MIG.
