Our mission? To switch up the status quo and become the UK’s leading out-of-home business. With a fast-growing network of thousands of smart lockers, hundreds of leading retail partners and the launch of our transformative Send service, we’re bringing freedom to anyone with a parcel.
At InPost UK, we’re building an unparalleled group of talent that’s committed to help us power our mission to reshape the way parcels move, and redefine eCommerce logistics. Our team is packed full of top-notch experts in e-commerce, technology, scale-up growth, sustainability, logistics and supply chain. We’re a passionate bunch with high ambition – we collaborate, innovate, support each other, and leave egos at the door.
About the role:
We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HR Business Partner to join our team on a maternity cover basis, helping to elevate our people agenda. As part of a fast-growing and ambitious business, you will play a crucial role in creating an environment where our people can thrive. You will have the opportunity to deliver across our people agenda, supporting the Head of HR Business Services in launching strategic initiatives that enable our continued growth and ensure our people processes and operations deliver a best-in-class service.
What you’ll be doing:
Strategic People Partnership: Collaborate with key stakeholders within the business services teams to operationalise strategic people projects, such as performance management, compensation & benefits, career frameworks, and culture and engagement initiatives.
Change Management: Implement change management efforts related to people projects, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and seamless delivery. Support teams through transitions and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Process Excellence: Help embed seamless people processes and work alongside our HR Systems teams to optimise the use of our HRIS platform. Oversee the processing of employee lifecycle changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding and induction process for new starters, ensuring a seamless transition into InPost!
Talent Management and Succession Planning: Work with the business to identify and retain talent, support talent development initiatives, and succession planning efforts. Coach new managers, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to lead their teams effectively.
Data-Led Driven Decision-Making: Provide regular reporting and analysis on HR metrics, offering actionable insights to improve organisational effectiveness.
Employee Engagement and Development: Help to embed the culture and engagement agenda and deliver an employee experience fit for a scaling, high-growth business.
Compliance and Employee Relations: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations and serve as an escalation point for employee relations issues.
Ad Hoc HR Projects: Lead ad hoc HR projects, bringing innovative solutions and strategic insights to meet business needs.
What we need from you:
We’re looking for people who are ready for a fast paced environment, get their kicks out of problem solving and can balance getting today's stuff done, whilst building for the future. We’re looking for people with drive and natural curiosity – who want to do things differently. And do them brilliantly.
Experience in a Scale-Up Environment: Demonstrate an understanding of the people challenges faced in a scaling business.
Rapport Building and Influence: Ability to build rapport quickly and positively influence the business in implementing core people strategy elements and deliverables.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable using data to support decision-making around people topics.
Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Passion for Business Partnering: Be excited about the difference great business partnering can make to organisations. Effective coaching and mentoring skills, with a track record of developing and supporting new managers.
Resilience and Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment with ever-evolving priorities.
Employee Relations: Expertise in managing sickness absence and employee relations cases, with a solid understanding of UK employment law.
Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills, capable of coordinating onboarding processes and facilitating induction programs.
