We’re looking for a strategic and creative Senior Communications Manager to lead customer and stakeholder communications within our Newstrade business. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and knows how to craft compelling narratives that influence perception and inspire engagement.
The InPost Newstrade division specialises in final-mile delivery for newspaper publishers and magazine distributors, covering 75% of the UK and Ireland with a 45% market share. Operating from 36 locations, it delivers almost 1bn newspapers, magazines, and collectibles to around 21,000 customers. The division includes core final-mile operations, magazine primary distribution, corporate distribution, outsourced retail consultancy, and airside media placement.

What you’ll be doing:
You’ll shape and execute a bold, integrated B2B communications strategy that positions InPost Newstrade as the partner of choice in the newstrade ecosystem — connecting retailers, publishers, and distributors through innovative, insight-driven storytelling. From high-impact campaigns and product launches to internal engagement and thought leadership, you’ll help our story resonate across every channel.
Working closely with the Head of Communications & Engagement, this role will:
- Lead the strategy: Develop and deliver communications plans aligned with InPost Newstrade’s vision, business goals, and customer needs.
- Own the narrative: Shape and evolve our Newstrade messaging to reflect our innovation, reliability, and customer-first mindset.
- Create powerful content: Produce impactful B2B materials — from newsletters and case studies to digital and LinkedIn content — that elevate the brand and drive awareness.
- Bring campaigns to life: Design and deliver multi-channel marketing and engagement initiatives that support education, awareness and product adoption.
- Strengthen relationships: Supported by the Press Officer, this role uild trusted connections with industry media, key stakeholders, trade bodies, and partners across the newstrade ecosystem.
- Support digital engagement: Collaborate on the development of our customer portal and account management tools to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Be ready for anything: Support industry-specific proactive and crisis communications, ensuring consistent, confident messaging in every situation.
- Content & Thought Leadership: Position InPost Newstrade as the industry’s partner of choice through strategic PR, corporate storytelling, and stakeholder engagement that demonstrates our quality, strength and innovation.
- Analytics & Impact: Define and track KPIs to measure campaign success and communications performance. Use data, insights, and customer engagement analytics to refine and optimise messaging and activity for maximum impact.
What we need from you:

- Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field.
- Deep understanding of the UK Newstrade industry and its stakeholder environment.
- Significant experience in marketing and communications, with at significant experience in senior B2B stakeholder engagement roles.
- Proven ability to engage confidently with C-suite audiences across retail, publishing, and distribution sectors.
- Experience within a listed business and navigating multi-stakeholder environments.
- A strong track record in B2B campaign strategy, ideally in retail or newstrade.
- Proficiency with CRM, email, marketing automation, SEO, Google Analytics, and paid media campaigns.
- Strong PowerPoint skills.
- Exceptional written, visual, and verbal storytelling skills.
- A collaborator and influencer who can connect dots across teams, align strategies, and deliver tangible results.

The InPost process:
