The InPost Newstrade division specialises in final-mile delivery for newspaper publishers and magazine distributors, covering 75% of the UK and Ireland with a 45% market share. Operating from 36 locations, it delivers almost 1bn newspapers, magazines, and collectibles to around 21,000 customers. The division includes core final-mile operations, magazine primary distribution, corporate distribution, outsourced retail consultancy, and airside media placement.

About the role:
We are looking for a Laser Room Operative to join our team at InPost Newstrade, based at our Ashford site. This role is key to ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of our print and mail production processes. You’ll work within a fast-paced environment, supporting the preparation and production of customer materials using a variety of specialist printing and finishing equipment, including Canon mono and colour laser printers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operate and maintain Canon mono and colour laser printers to produce high-quality printed materials.
- Set up and safely operate guillotine and folder machinery.
- Use print management and production software to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular quality checks and ensure all work meets company standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and report any faults or issues promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet tight production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
What we need from you:
- Experience operating Canon laser printers (mono and colour).
- Skilled in laser, guillotine, and folder operation.
- Confident using print management software and digital workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must have the legal Right to Work in the UK.
