About the role:
The Regional Sales Manager is a key leader of our Independent Network Sales team. Reporting directly into the National Independant Sales Controller, this role ensures the quality and quantity of contracts signed by our Business Development Managers which results in new Locker locations across the UK.
We have 28k+ potential customers in our existing database and these form just a part of the 57,000 independent retailers and 115,000 independent hospitality sites in the UK.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will assume the role of a "player/ coach" comfortable originating deals whilst leading a team.
- Manage the day to day performance of the Business Development Managers located in the North of the UK (Midlands to Scotland).
- Lead the North Regional BDM function to success through target setting, defining objectives and supporting their development.
- Be the gatekeeper to maintain the highest level of standards for our customers and supporting teams.
- Work closely with the Head of Network Sales to support strategic initiatives and future growth plans.
What we need from you:
We’re looking for people who are ready for a fast paced environment, get their kicks out of problem solving and can balance getting today's stuff done, whilst building for the future. We’re looking for people with drive and natural curiosity – who want to do things differently. And do them brilliantly.
We will need you to have experience;
- Running a team of field sales reps either in an Area Manager or Fields Sales capacity.
- Ideally your experience comes from the FMCG, Retail or Tech industries.
- Hands on approach to leading small to medium size sales functions.
- Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and can juggle both originating deals and leading a team.
- Strategic approach to future planning
- Analytical mindset and comfortable analysing data to drive decision making
- Know your CRM and meticulous with maintaining clean data.
- Able to step up when needed to report/ discuss performance with Senior Leaders.
