About the role:We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to lead our dispatch team and oversee the timely and efficient distribution of goods. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and possess strong leadership skills to manage daily operations and ensure customer satisfaction.
📍 Location: Yodel - 4 Rosehall Rd, Bellshill ML4 3NR
📅 Shift Pattern: 5 over 7
🕒 Hours: Between - 07.00am - 09.00am - 8.5hr shift
💰 Salary:£31,184p/a
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage and supervise the dispatch team, providing guidance and support.
- Coordinate scheduling and routing of deliveries to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with warehouse staff to maintain stock accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and other departments to resolve issues promptly.
- Analyze dispatch operations and implement improvements to enhance productivity.
- Prepare reports on dispatch activities, delivery status, and team performance.
What we need from you:
- Proven experience in dispatch or logistics management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
- Valid driver’s license is a plus, (no more than 6 points)
